Kaizen Top Mark had the pleasure of introducing the Mastercard Foundation #YouthEngagement Program to KALRO Management. This engagement was meant to facilitate the collaboration with KALRO. - The Mastercard team was led by Jahazi David, Youth Engagement Program Lead and Felix Rapando from the agriculture sector. - Representatives from Young Leaders Organizations included Christine Okode of DICDIC Agrocare, and Clarice Mwikali of Arabuko Ltd. - The KALRO Management was represented by Dr. Felister Makini, Deputy Director General of Crops and Jane Gitonga from KALRO.
Kaizen Top Mark, representing the Syngenta Foundation East Africa at Agriculture Sector Network (ASNET), had the privilege of engaging in insightful discussions with a diverse group of officials from various business member organizations. The meeting centered around the crucial review of Agricultural Produce Cess and other market-related levies, with generous support from the USAID - Kenya Crops and Dairy Market Systems (KCDMS) project. Kaizen Top Mark, representing the Syngenta Foundation for East Africa, facilited a high level stakeholders meeting on harmonization of policies, strategies, and legislation for effective implementation of the Nutrition in City Ecosystems (NICE) Project in Busia and Bungoma counties. Present at the meeting was the Deputy Governor, also the CEC for Water, Irrigation, Environment and Natural Resources for Busia County, HE Arthur Odera. Other participants were CECs from Key departments of Bungoma and Busia counties: including Education, Agriculture, Health, Environment & natural resources, Gender & Social services and Trade. The National government was represented by the Agriculture Secretary, Head Agri-nutritition and Head School feeding program, Ministry of Education. The Council of Governors Secretariat was represented by the Director Programs & Projects Kizito Wangalwa . This meeting was supported by Syngenta Foundation East Africa (SFEA) and graced by the Executive Director SFEA, Lucy Kioko.
